The FIRST STEP Adult Education Center is an AB ED Accredited Private High School for adults returning to learning. We offer tutor-supported independent learning programs, focusing on the AB ED HIGHSCHOOL curriculum. Small classes and one-on-one tutoring enable the adult learners to meet the prerequisites of Colleges and Universities. We also have programs addressing the needs of ESL(EAL) learners and an ABE (Adult Basic Education) program, focusing on the basic (English, Science, Math) skills which would prepare them for entrance into HS courses. As well, we provide academic tutoring for those who want to challenge the AB Apprenticeship entrance exam or upgrade essential skills in the workplace. YES YOU CAN … is the prevailing motto of our dedicated tutors – who strive to create a friendly supportive learning environment, which invites Adults to challenge their abilities and take the first step in realizing their academic and career potential.
